Active and passive safety edges

SOF safety edges are devices which can be installed on automatic gates, garage doors or entrance doors to prevent people from getting hurt and/or injured if accidentally hit by this type of equipment.

The edges automatically stop or reverse the gate movement when the circuit is opened and ensure that the force applied is kept within the limits specified by European standards.

They are easy and quick to install.

Ditec SOF are reliable and safe as they feature an innovative rubber profile containing inside an electric cable.

Most of the edges are certified as Class 2 according to EN ISO 13849 1/2 standard.

Ditec range includes:

• Pre-assembled passive safety edges (H=68 mm and 2 m long)
  This type of edge can be operated without the installation of additional electronic devices.
• Pre-assembled active, with wired mechanical contact, with redundant microswitch safety edge (H=75 mm and 2 m long)
  This type of edge can be operated without the installation of additional electronic devices.
• Pre-assembled active, with wired mechanical contact, resistive (8.2 KOhm) safety edge (H=75 mm and 2 m long)
  This type of edge requires the installation of additional electronic devices (GOPAV, GOPAVRS).
• Preassembled active resistive (8.2 KOhm) safety edge (H=80 mm and different lengths)
  This type of edge requires the installation of additional electronic devices (GOPAV, GOPAVRS).
• Preassembled active resistive (8.2 KOhm) safety edge (H=120 mm and 2 m long)
  This type of edge requires the installation of additional electronic devices (GOPAV, GOPAVRS).
